Job Overview
The Maintenance Mechanic requires technical, and administrative skills necessary to operate and maintain our properties. The primary focus of this position centers on providing high levels of customer service including on-site and on-call operational support.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct basic visual inspections of garage levels, stairwells, and common areas, focusing on lighting and safety systems.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting tenants with requests and building positive relationships.
- Support the maintenance team with general garage upkeep, including repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Help with basic tasks such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and fixing minor issues.
- Assist with event setups and support construction projects as needed.
- Respond promptly to tenant requests and maintain a professional, friendly demeanor.
- Perform basic tasks like checking fire extinguishers, resetting alarms, and ensuring common areas are well-maintained.
- Help contractors by ensuring their work is done safely and to standard.
- Be available for occasional overtime, holiday work, and assist with after-hours emergencies.
- Assist with seasonal tasks, such as winterizing outdoor systems and helping with snow removal.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
- Current driver's license without major violations
- Minimum 1 years of experience in the building maintenance industry with commercial office buildings required
- Knowledge of mechanical, plumbing electrical systems and hands on abilities
- Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, twist, and/or reach
- Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds
- Continuous repetitive motions
- Work under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold), under variable noise levels, outdoors/indoors, around fumes and/or hazards, around dust and/or mite hazards, around chemicals and bio-hazards
