Position Summary

Location:

Erbil, Iraq
Clearance Level: Department of State (DOS) – Secret

• Maintain and conduct repairs on task order–assigned vehicles.
• Plan and schedule maintenance.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of assigned vehicles.
• Establish and implement vehicle maintenance plans.
• Maintain reports for leadership and client communications.

• U.S. citizen.
• Minimum one (1) year of overseas experience in vehicle maintenance.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or factory certification for assigned equipment/systems.
• At least three (3) of the following certifications:
  Engine repair, Automatic transmission/transaxle, Manual drivetrain and axles, Suspension and steering, Brakes, Electrical/electrical systems, Engine performance.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
• Valid U.S. Passport with at least 6 months remaining before expiration.
• Proficient in speaking, writing, and communicating in English.
• Must have received the DOS Non-Protective Security Specialist Basic training or be eligible to deploy directly if completed within last 3 years.
• Physically capable of walking, squatting, crawling, running, quickly entering/exiting vehicles, maneuvering around obstacles, carrying heavy equipment and personnel, operating mission‑essential equipment.

• Approved for a Department of State Medical Clearance.
• Able to operate and/or travel in vehicles on improved and unimproved roadways, as well as off‑road.
• Able to travel long distances in airplanes, helicopters, and road vehicles.
• Able to sit and/or stand for long periods with minimal breaks.
• Must possess no medical or physical impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries considered dangerous or unhealthy.
