J&P Richardson Industries Pty Ltd (JPR) has a rare and exciting opportunity for an energetic and self-motivated Trade Assistant to join our Actemium Manufacturing Business Unit. This role will provide trade support and team assistance in our Sheet Metal and Switchboards workshops. This is a full-time role and will be based at our depot in Wacol.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Assisting with sheet metal and switchboard fit out
• Cubicle assembly (Demcon)
• Packing and crating of switchboards
• Sanding and preparing materials to be painted
• Deliveries and pick ups
• Other adhoc duties around the workshop as required

You will have a reasonable mechanical aptitude, strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, along with the ability to work unsupervised and be a strong contributor to team performance. You will be an effective communicator and have good self‑organisational skills. You will have pride in the quality of your work with good attention to detail.

• Completed Year 12 or equivalent
• Construction Industry White Card
• Class C Drivers Licence (QLD) s
• Forklift licence (beneficial but not compulsory)
• Experience in a similar role advantageous
