We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences through delicious and well-presented dishes. Your attention to detail and commitment to food safety will contribute to the overall success of our kitchen operations.

This is a hands-on leadership position in a fast-paced, standards-driven kitchen. You’ll be involved in:

  • Leading, training, and developing the kitchen team
  • Maintaining consistency, systems, and execution
  • Supporting menu execution and refinement with the head chef
  • Daily operations, ordering, prep systems, and cost awareness

Duties
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including cooking stations and storage areas.
  • Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed to maintain food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
  • Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
Experience
  • Previous experience in a full service casual premium restaurant.
  • Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety practices within the food industry.
  • Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and kitchen tools.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in the kitchen setting.
  • A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new skills within the culinary field.
