As a Junior Server with Fairmont Vancouver Airport, you are an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our dining experience. Your warm, personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding Food & Beverage offerings makes our guests feel unique and valued.
What You Will Be Doing- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
- Setup, take down and continued cleanliness of Busser station
- Clearing and setting of tables to meet the highest standards of organization and cleanliness
- Meticulous care in ensuring the restaurant is clean, tidy, organized and inviting
- Act as a liaison with the Host/Hostess team to ensure tables are setup for guest needs and are ready in time for reservations
- Relay important information, such as special requests or allergies, between Servers and Kitchen
- Assist in the delivery of menu items from Kitchen or Bar to tables, to maintain efficient service times
- Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
- Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions, menu items and preparation methods
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Other duties as assigned
Your experience and skills include:
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
- Must possess and maintain a valid Serving it Right! Certification
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
