Specialty Foods Chef
Location: Hazelbridge Way, Richmond, BC V6X 4J7, On site
Salary: $35.00 to $37.00 per hour (to be negotiated) – 30 to 40 hours per week
Terms: Permanent, Full time, Evening/Weekend shift, Starts as soon as possible, 4 vacancies
Responsibilities- Estimate amount and costs of supplies and food items
- Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff
- Create new recipes
- Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
- Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
- Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
- Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies
- Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
- Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Recruit and hire staff
- Education:
Secondary (high school) graduation certificate - Experience:
3 to less than 5 years in a similar role - Rank:
Chef - Cuisine specialty:
Korean - Recognized employer – Government programs available
- Canadian citizen
- Permanent resident of Canada
- Temporary resident of Canada with a valid work permit
