The energetic and professional Team at the Lakeside Grill, at Mayfair Lakes Golf & Club, provides service excellence at Richmond’s favorite lunch spot and patio. The Lakeside Grill offers a relaxed atmosphere that perfectly complements our exquisite seasonal West Coast fare. We’re looking to welcome a creative, curious, and motivated Junior Sous Chef in the relaxed but lively restaurant and event spaces.

An operation of this caliber requires a hands-on Junior Sous Chef who will join our passionate Team. The successful candidate reports to the Executive Chef, is authentic
, proficient in busy kitchen operations, and holds themselves to the highest standards
.

, and enjoy investing into a high-functioning Team through strong communication and service excellence
.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learn and execute the restaurant and event menus, maintaining the highest standards of quality, service and delivery of meals that leave the kitchen
  • Maintain harmony and humility in the kitchen and event spaces
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and presentable appearance of buffets, refreshment centers and all public areas
  • Work with back and front of house Team Members to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
  • Proper use of all cuisine, equipment, chemicals procedures
  • Learn ordering techniques and cost control measures to maintain fiscal responsibility
  • Work efficiently and proactively in a fast-paced environment
  • Develop leadership skills for further growth into a Sous Chef role
  • CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Solid a la carte and event culinary experience;
    Red Seal/culinary education is an asset.
  • Experience leading a kitchen Team.
  • Meet food quality standards consistently
  • Exceptional problem solving
    , communication, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining organization and a positive attitude.
  • Self-aware and emotionally intelligent to convey and embody our standard of leadership
