Facilities Technician Intern

Position Summary:

We are seeking a driven, responsible Facilities Technician Intern to join our growing organization. In this hands-on role, you will learn the day-to-day operations of facilities maintenance and support at The Chefs' Warehouse, gaining exposure to building systems, equipment upkeep, and general facility operations.
This will be a summer internship running from mid-May through August (dates to be confirmed).

Assist with daily facility maintenance tasks, including basic repairs, inspections, and upkeep

Support preventative maintenance programs for building systems, equipment, and warehouse infrastructure

Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Shadow and assist facilities technicians with hands-on projects

Perform routine checks and document maintenance activities

Respond to facilities-related requests and work orders

Learn proper use of tools, equipment, and safety procedures

Attend team meetings and assist with special facilities projects as needed

About you:

Must be enrolled in an accredited university, college, or technical program (or recently graduated)

At least 18 years of age

Interest in facilities maintenance, engineering, construction, or a related technical field

Ability to work an onsite schedule 40 hours/week throughout the summer

Comfortable working in a warehouse environment

Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn hands-on skills

Ability to follow instructions, safety guidelines, and procedures

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team

Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
