SummaryA dishwasher/wares wash person will manually load used dishware and cutlery into automatic dishwashing machinery, monitor incoming used dishware for recyclable items, unload clean dishware, and stack in corresponding racks.
Responsibilities- Work 8 hour rotative shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Work overtime when required, often during busy season and holiday rotation.
- Arrive on time and be punctual; cross‑training required in different departments.
- Pass a criminal background check.
- Complete paperwork.
- Communicate with supervisors and co-workers.
- Follow directions and specifications provided by the customer.
- Work as a member of a team and respect each other.
- Work in a safe manner and follow all safety policies posted.
- Push and pull trolleys and other equipment as required.
- Maintain a discipline‑free, excellent attendance record.
- Understand and adhere to Health & Safety guidelines.
- Verify compliance with Attendance Policies.
- Attend and participate in regularly scheduled safety meetings.
- Uphold company policies and safety standards.
- Own transportation is an asset as public transport is limited in the area.
- Able to lift 35 lbs as required.
- Excellent communicator (oral and written), demonstrating sound judgment, tact, and working well in high‑pressure situations.
- Ability to work independently, organizing work to ensure full proficiency and productivity.
- Ability to handle high volume of work and maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask.
- Adapt to change with little notice.
- Self‑motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Work in an environment that encourages teamwork, participation, creativity, honesty, and mutual respect.
- Knowledge of protected lifting techniques; regular and repetitive heavy lifting (~35 lbs) required.
- Ability to work shift.
- Read, write and follow food specifications and menu guidelines in English.
- Good communication skills in English both verbal and written.
- Exposure to extreme temperature changes and noise.
- Subject to cold temperatures (+10°C to ≤0°C).
- Subject to hot temperatures.
- Works with chemicals and industrial cleaning materials.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to 35 lbs.
- Physically demanding position—regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during 8+ hour shifts.
CA $20.85 per hour
