Oats Overnight is on a mission to build a generational CPG brand. Since 2016, our high-protein, drinkable oatmeal has reached over a million customers through direct-to-consumer, and we're now scaling with all major nationwide retail and club partners. Our goal: become a household brand by leveraging speed, storytelling, and strategy.

We are vertically integrated: we develop, manufacture, and fulfill everything in-house. This operational control allows us to engage customers directly into the R&D process, an initiative where we were first-to-market in CPG. It also makes our brand tangible and real: our factory, our team, and our product pipeline are all part of the narrative.

This is an exciting stage - we are emerging as a significant omni-channel brand and launching new products to capture significant market share across verticals. We want you to help us get there.

Every teammate here has equity because we're building something big, and everyone plays an important role. If you're excited about building a brand that does things differently, this is that opportunity.

What's The Job

As a Sr. Maintenance Technician at Oats Overnight, you are the person the team leans on when things get complex. You bring deep trade expertise, the ability to handle escalated equipment issues, and the experience to mentor and upskill the people around you. This is a high-impact individual contributor role for someone who has seen a lot, knows their craft, and wants to put it to work in a fast-growing food manufacturing environment.

Starting pay is $38–$40/hour based on experience, with a clear path to $39–$41/hour after year one.

What You'll Be Doing, Stop Scanning and Read This Part
  • Own escalated maintenance issues across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, welding, and other specialized trades
  • Apply deep expertise in form-fill-seal equipment and related systems
  • Serve as a technical resource for the maintenance team — helping troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex equipment failures
  • Informally mentor and upskill Maintenance Associates, Technicians, line leads, and operators
  • Assist in onboarding and training of new maintenance hires
  • Partner with the Maintenance Manager to flag and elevate performance or safety concerns as needed
  • Work within LOTO and all applicable safety protocols at all times

  • Ensures and promotes food safety throughout the facility

  • Other duties as assigned
What You've Done and Who You Are
  • 10+ years of maintenance experience, ideally in CPG, food manufacturing, or pharmaceutical environments
  • 5+ years of form-fill-seal experience strongly preferred
  • Trade certification in electrical, welding, HVAC, or a related field required — unless you bring 5+ years of equivalent hands‑on HMC experience
  • OSHA 10 certification required
  • Deep mechanical aptitude across multiple trades with a proven ability to handle what others can't
  • A natural teacher — you share what you know and make the people around you better
  • A relentless drive to get things done
  • Flexible, willing, and quick to learn new processes, new technology, and new ways of thinking
