EVS Technician - Housekeeping

Job Title

Environmental Services Tech I (EVS I) – Full Time, Days shifts.

• Execute daily duties to establish and maintain a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment.
• Ensure timely room turns related to patient throughput within the basic principles of environmental hygiene and infection prevention.
• Empty trash, clean trash cans, relocate liners, remove infectious waste, fill sharps containers.
• Damp dust furniture, ledges, and fixtures with a germicidal agent.
• Dry mop, wet mop floors and vacuum carpeting; high dust vents, overhead lights, and other items over shoulder height.
• Operate various vacuum cleaners and other cleaning tools.
• Perform alternate EVS aid responsibilities as needed.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; required for application.
• Physically capable of lifting and transporting items up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and stretching safely.
• Appropriate use of personal protective equipment, including rubber gloves, eye protection, gowns, booties, masks, and hair covers.
• Ability to interact safely with patients, visitors, clinical and non-clinical staff.

• Full-Time: 32 weekly hours (0.8 FTE) to 40 weekly hours (1.0 FTE)
