* Repairs and maintains tires and tire equipment for department vehicles.
* Maintains available inventory of all service center vehicles and equipment; tires, tubes, and wheels.
* Makes road calls to install tires on department vehicles, as needed.
* Inspects tools and equipment used in tire repair and requests replacement equipments as needed.
* Cleans, inspects, restores, and reassembles rims and rings to safe working condition.
* Balances tire and wheel after assembly.
* Coordinates with  the Fleet Manager regarding upcoming equipment usage.
* Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
** MINIMUM

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

*** High School Diploma/GED. Knowledge of tire sensors and placement, knowledge of tractors, high water vehicles and Emergency Vehicles.
* 2 years job related experience; thorough knowledge of tire and wheel maintenance.
* Ability to understand and carry out instructions;  Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize own work.
* Valid Texas Commercial Driver’s License.
** STARTING SALARY RANGE:**  $18.31 - $22.89 hourly based on qualifications
