Meridian at Watermark, North Chesterfield, Virginia 23234
Responsibilities- Ensure the physical aspects of the community meet CAPREIT's standards and any applicable laws by troubleshooting, repairing, or replacing heating and A/C units, water heaters, appliances, plumbing and electrical systems, asphalt, building interiors and exteriors, drainage systems, carpet, and cleaning; respond to and complete service requests promptly and notify the manager if a request cannot be resolved within 24 hours.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures by operating power equipment, tools, and wearing protective equipment when necessary.
- Maintain community appearance by assisting with grounds and housekeeping, removing trash and litter, painting, performing exterior repairs, replacing interior and exterior light bulbs, performing apartment inspections, and other tasks as needed.
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor by preparing vacant apartments for move‑in, performing preventive maintenance, maintaining inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment, and performing all other duties as assigned.
- Assist office staff by distributing notices and interacting with residents, prospective residents, and vendors in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner.
- 1 to 3 years of apartment maintenance experience
- A valid CFC with Type I and II or Universal certification is preferred
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for on‑call emergencies
- Ability to provide basic tools
- Computer literacy skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
