Building Maintenance​/Janitor

Job Summary

The primary function of the Building Maintenance/Janitor is the general maintenance and cleaning of Building and outside lot.

Due to federally mandated DOT regulations, Kenworth Sales Company is a drug-free workplace. Any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a pre‑employment drug screening.

• Clean all exposed filing cabinets, bookcases, shelves
• Clean and sanitize telephones
• Clean and sanitize desk tops
• Clean reception lobby
• Empty all waste receptacles & replace liners as needed including shop
• Vacuum all carpeted areas
• Clean, sanitize, polish all vitreous fixtures
• Clean all glass and mirrors
• Refill all dispensers to normal limits
• Sweep, damp mop, and sanitize hard floor
• Clean and sanitize all sinks and sink fixtures
• Remove dust and cobwebs from ceiling areas and window seals
• Keep kitchens clean including microwaves and coffee pots
• Once a month clean exterior and interior windows
• Pressure wash building as needed
• Building maintenance as needed (light bulbs, paint touch ups, etc.)
• Keep parking area and landscaping free of debris
• When not cleaning, maintenance person will be back up for the shipping and receiving department as well as running errands for the Service Department

• Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and information
• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Computer literate
• Clearly legible handwriting
• Experience in Janitorial and general maintenance work

• This position is physically demanding
• Employee will climb stairs, climb in and out of vehicles, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach, moving about the dealership facility to communicate with managers, employees and customers
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis as well as heavier loads with forklifts and /or additional assistance will be required
• Will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and non hazardous materials
