St. Bridget Catholic Church, Richmond, VA, is seeking a full-time maintenance worker. Working under the supervisor, this position is responsible for ongoing and preventive maintenance on equipment and buildings of St. Bridget Catholic Church. This position ensures that there is an attractive, productive, and safe environment for all people, including staff, visitors, and groups that meet in our Church facilities. The Facilities Maintenance Worker performs work necessary, including semi-skilled carpentry, basic plumbing, painting, repair of interior fixtures, furniture and equipment, and handling snow/ice removal when necessary.
Hours include working on Sunday. Additional hours will be required during the Easter and Christmas holidays.
Successful candidates should have 2+ years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience. Position requires a minimum of a high school diploma, or equivalent with a Trade School or Technical Certificate. A valid state driver’s license is required. You must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position including walking and lifting heavy packages/equipment.
