Mechanic II.

Job Summary and Qualifications Major Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities
  • Will PM, inspect, repair, assemble and install various types of equipment
  • Repair electrical beds
  • Inspect/repair vertical/horizontal transportation
  • Repair pneumatic tube system
  • Must be able to recognize and correct conditions which require maintenance work such as conveyors, laundry, and dietary equipment
  • PM various types of equipment (exhaust fans, laundry equipment, dietary equipment, battery emergency lights, etc.)
  • Diagnose problems and order materials/parts for repairs to equipment
  • Willing to help and assist other mechanics/trades as necessary
  • Move materials upon request from all departments
  • Must be accessible for emergency maintenance calls
  • Shall observe safety rules and regulations at all times
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School diploma/GED or work experience equivalent
  • Hospital/Commercial experience preferred
  • Skill in the use of hand and power tools used in installations, repair and maintenance of equipment, buildings and grounds
  • Five or more years of experience preferred
