The Custodian plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized facility for associates and customers. This position supports daily operations by ensuring work areas and common spaces are consistently clean, well maintained, and ready for use. The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in their work, and values being part of a team that relies on consistency and attention to detail.
Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas inside and outside the facility.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas.
Remove trash and recyclables in a timely manner.
Operate cleaning equipment safely and properly.
Handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
Restock supplies and notify management when inventory is low.
Report maintenance concerns as needed.
Maintain reliable attendance and report to work on time.
Requirements Qualifications & Work EnvironmentReliable and detail oriented.
Able to work independently and follow safety procedures.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum 1 year of related experience preferred.
The ideal candidate can follow directions and communicate clearly. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential. Demonstrate dependability.
This role is performed in an active retail store environment and requires regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching throughout the workday, as well as working in varying temperatures. The position requires the ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds independently.
