Our client, a well-established organization in the Richmond area, is seeking a Facilities Technician to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, takes pride in maintaining a safe and functional environment, and can handle a variety of building and maintenance needs.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general maintenance and repairs across the facility, including basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC support, while partnering with external facilities vendors to coordinate and support larger repairs and service projects
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and address maintenance issues proactively
- Respond to service requests and troubleshoot building‑related concerns in a timely manner
- Assist with vendor coordination for larger repairs and scheduled maintenance projects
- Support office moves, furniture setup, and space adjustments as needed
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner
- 2+ years of facilities, maintenance, or building operations experience
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
- Strong attention to detail and reliability in completing tasks
- Comfortable with physical work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours
- Employment Type: Temp-to-hire
