Hours:
M – F 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (25 hours per week)
This position is responsible for:
Under the general supervision of the Facilities & Property Manager, daily cleans and maintains the building and grounds to ensure the neatness and cleanliness of the property assigned. Performs routine repairs and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and vehicles; performs minor plumbing and carpentry repair work; performs routine grounds keeping work to ensure the beautification of the landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; cleans sinks and toilets, polishes mirrors, and replenishes supplies.
Performs routine building maintenance activities; performs minor plumbing repairs required by leaking faucets and clogged toilets; performs carpentry work required to repair dents and/or holes in walls and paints walls.
May request purchase order for supplies.
Sweeps, vacuums, mops, buffs and waxes floors. Keeps sidewalks clean and free of debris.
Assists the Facilities and Property Manager with major, more complex repairs and maintenance.
Drives vehicle in order to pick up materials and repair items needed for maintenance work
Physical Requirements and
Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
Ability to perform heavy lifting. Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects.
Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.
Work is performed in a shelter facility where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
Work requires driving a vehicle and working outdoors daily with exposure to physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or G.E.D.Licenses and
Certifications:
Valid State Driver’s License.
