Job Description

- Hospital Cleaner
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hospital Cleaner to provide exceptional customer service and ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met. This role involves maintaining cleanliness in various areas, responding to guest requests, and contributing to a professional and collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities- Provide quality customer service with attention to detail.
- Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.
- Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
- Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
- Dust and polish furniture and fittings.
- Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
- Empty and clean trash containers and dispose of trash in a sanitary manner.
- Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and wipe down glass surfaces.
- Make up beds and change linens as required.
- Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout.
- Respond to guest queries and requests.
- Address housekeeping issues, such as spills and broken glass.
- Exhibit professionalism and contribute to team efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, and janitorial services.
- Previous service experience from fast food, grocery stores, convenience stores, or hotels is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with doctors, nurses, hospital staff, patients, and family members.
Skills & Qualifications
- Customer interfacing experience is essential.

Work EnvironmentThis role involves cleaning bathrooms, taking out trash, and refreshing common areas across different floors. Each room typically takes 5-7 minutes to refresh. The working hours are 3pm - 11:30pm, Monday to Friday, with rotating weekends. Employees receive their schedules a month in advance. The dress code includes black pants, a black or grey plain shirt with no logos, and comfortable all‑black shoes.
Scrubs, jeans, and sweatpants are not permitted.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.50 - $15.50/hr.
