We're looking for a dependable, hands-on Facilities Assistant & Custodian who takes pride in their work, enjoys fixing things, and likes seeing the results of a job well done.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety. One day you may be repairing drywall or a door, troubleshooting a maintenance issue, or doing some yardwork. You may also be cleaning common areas, preparing a room for a program, moving equipment, or making sure our restrooms and facilities are clean and ready for the people we serve.

• Perform daily custodial and cleaning duties throughout CARITAS facilities.
• Help with basic repairs and maintenance, including drywall, painting, plumbing, lighting, doors, fixtures, and other building components.
• Complete routine preventive maintenance and respond to facility service requests.
• Maintain grounds, entryways, and exterior areas.
• Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and needed repairs.
• Help move furniture and equipment, unload supplies, and prepare spaces for programs and activities.
• Work with the Facilities Manager, staff, contractors, volunteers, and program participants to keep our facilities operating safely and smoothly.

We're looking for someone who is dependable, willing to learn, and comfortable working with their hands.

You should have:

• Experience in maintenance, custodial work, facilities, construction, groundskeeping, or another hands-on field is preferred.
• Basic experience with repairs such as painting, drywall, minor plumbing, basic electrical work, or groundskeeping.
• Comfort using basic hand and power tools.
• A practical, problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage daily tasks, and take pride in your work.
• Ability to work respectfully with people from a variety of backgrounds.
• Reliable transportation to travel between CARITAS locations.
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.

Status: Full-time, non-exempt Supervisor: Facilities Manager Pay: $18/hour Hours: 40 hours per week, generally Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.
