Janitor Floor Tech Security Clearance

General Description

A Janitor-Floor Tech is responsible for performing floor maintenance duties and custodial services in order to ensure that buildings and facilities are maintained in a safe and sanitary manner. The role includes a full range of floor care maintenance and custodial duties related to the care, maintenance and cleaning of all assigned buildings and facilities under the government contract, encompassing both routine maintenance and non‑routine assignments.

• Basic janitorial duties including sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning restrooms.
• Floor care maintenance duties for small and large facilities such as carpet cleaning, stripping, waxing, and spray and buffs.
• Maintain building and floors in compliance with contract standards and present a clean and sightly appearance.
• Operate floor care machinery and other basic janitorial equipment.
• Maintain equipment and supplies.
• Move furniture before and after cleaning.
• Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Interact regularly with customers while performing services.
• May be required to drive to outlying areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisor and management team.

• Must have a valid California Driver’s License or obtain one before the start date.
• Successfully pass a background investigation for the base.
• Must be able to obtain security clearance and submit all required documents through the government program (E‑qip) before the start date.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Physical stamina.
• Attention to detail.
• Floor maintenance experience required (preferred two years).
• Completion of on‑the‑job training and safety program.
• Undeterred by exposure to hazardous chemicals, bodily fluids, and communicable and infectious disease.
• Must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug screening.

The pay rate offered will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as geographic locations, market data, and other business considerations, as permitted by law.
