Project Coordinator
Vader National Electric is currently seeking project coordinators based full-time in our Bellwood, IL (Chicago) office, with possibility of working on a project site within the Chicagoland area. Vader project coordinators are bright, integrous people who provide overall support to construction project management, field management, and customers. They enjoy working collaboratively with all facets of project teams to assist in the achievement of project goals and objectives.
This position requires strong organization and prioritization skills to ensure project- and team-success. As a quickly growing company, Vader is seeking individuals who can work on multiple projects simultaneously, with projects varying in size and complexity.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare project correspondence and file copies in appropriate locations in electronic / cloud-based software
- Price and write purchase orders and releases
- Price extra work order tickets
- Prepare project billings with the project team
- Generate / track closeout documents
- Compile closeout manuals
- Transcribe letters and memos and compose as required
- Issue subcontracts and subcontractor change orders
- Maintain compliance of project-specific certificates of insurance
- Generate and set up new projects in cloud-based software
- Prepare submittals, meeting minutes, and RFIs using electronic / cloud-based programs
- Receive and send UPS/Fed Ex
- Answer phone calls and direct to the appropriate person when necessary
- Assist all departments as needed
- Provide quality customer service to internal and external customers
- Understand and contribute to strategic initiatives
Skill Requirements:
- Organized and can prioritize effectively
- Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, and attention to detail
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite & Share Point
- Capable of learning and mastering cloud-based, enterprise resource planning ('ERP') software
- Takes initiative, strong work ethics, pride in performance
- Speed, focus, and accuracy in work
- Good attitude
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency when required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate's degree or greater preferred
- Introduction to construction preferred, but not required
Location:
- Bellwood, IL
- Part-time on a job site in the Chicagoland area may be required
Expected Pay:
- $50,000-$65,000 USD per year
