River Forest-Temporary House Manager

A River Forest family with one 13-year-old child is seeking a proactive and organized Temporary House Manager for a six-week position beginning October 13th. They are looking for a dependable self-starter who can take initiative with household responsibilities, assist with their child’s after-school needs, and help keep the home running smoothly while one parent recovers from a procedure.

Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–6:00 PM

30 hours per week

October 13th

Approximately 6 weeks

$30–$33/hour, depending on experience

• Drive child to after-school activities and appointments as needed
• Run household errands
• Grocery shopping
• Family laundry
• General tidying and keeping household spaces organized
• Meal preparation for the child
• Help maintain household organization and anticipate day-to-day needs
• Take the family dog for a daily walk
• Provide general household support as needed during the six-week placement

• Proactive, motivated, and a strong self-starter
• Organized and able to work independently
• Dependable and comfortable taking initiative
• Strong driving record required
• Confident and comfortable driving into the city
• Comfortable with dogs and willing to provide daily walks and care
• Able to be flexible and attentive to the household’s needs

The family can provide a vehicle for all work-related driving. Parking is provided.
