Position: The Village Office Student Coordinator
POSITION:
The Village Office Student Coordinator

DEPARTMENT:
Center for Cultural Liberation

REPORTS TO:

Associate Director of the CCL

HOURS NEEDED PER WEEK: 8- 10 hours (fall, and spring)

HOURLY RATE: $15.00 /hour

DATES OF EMPLOYMENT (APPROXIMATE):
August 2026 - May 2027

JOB COMPONENTS/

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assist in the recruitment and support of member of The Village

* Assist The Village coordinator in designing and implementing the program curriculum

* Plan opportunities for building community among Black students, faculty, and staff

* Promote The Village efforts in coordination with the Marketing and Communications team

* Plan educational events for The Village members with the Education and Special Events Coordinator

* Implement a social media strategy to inform and engage students and campus community on The Village programs and initiatives

* Manage DU BeInvolved and other platforms

* Assist with development of the CCL newsletter and other communication materials

* Attend biweekly supervision meetings and biweekly CCL team meetings

* Serve on CCL planning committees

* Provide 7-8 hours a week of in-person office hours

* Perform other duties as requested, delegated, or assigned

* Ability to keep students' confidentiality

* Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment and still meet deadlines

* Strong verbal, written, and social media skills; interpersonal and follow-up skills

* Dynamic self-starter who takes initiative, highly reliable, and dependable

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Basic computer skills:
