Post-Baccalaureate Teaching Assistant
Reports to:
Associate Dean, Borra College of Health Sciences
Hours needed per week: 10-15 hours/week
Hourly rate: $15.25/hour
Dates of employment (approximate):
Fall 2026 and Spring 2027
Expectations for all Dominican employees:
To support the University's mission of preparing students to pursue truth, to give compassionate service, and to participate in the creation of a more just and humane world.
- Attend and assist in lectures and labs.
- Help students on an individual and group basis.
- Assist in writing and grading assignments and exams.
- Manage online grade book.
- Set up and update blackboard website.
- Performs other duties as requested, delegated or assigned.
- Must have taken the class with which they are assisting in, or the equivalent.
- Must have a strong knowledge of the subject matter.
- Must be comfortable with blackboard and online grade books.
- Must be able to communicate with the class via e-mail.
Education:
Must have completed at least one year as a Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical student.
