Graduate Assistant – Career Programs & Data

The Career Programs Office seeks a detail-oriented Graduate Assistant to support career readiness assessment, data analysis, and reporting. The Graduate Assistant will work with data from career and vocation courses, student and alumni surveys, and career outcomes instruments to help the office evaluate student engagement, career readiness and development, program effectiveness, and post-graduation outcomes.

• Analyze, interpret, and report career and vocation survey data.
• Review and analyze career readiness and career outcomes data from students and alumni.
• Examine data related to career readiness competencies and program learning outcomes.
• Identify trends, patterns, and key findings across available data sources.
• Create reports, tables, charts, and other visualizations to communicate findings clearly.
• Assist with survey administration, data collection, data cleaning, and documentation.
• Maintain data dictionaries, variable documentation, and other records to support consistent and reproducible analysis.
• Help translate assessment findings into actionable insights that can inform curriculum, programming, and continuous improvement.
• Support assessment and special projects within the Career Programs Office.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and alumni information.

• Ability to work with, interpret, and communicate data.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Graduate students pursuing an M.S. in Information Management, M.B.A., or M.A. in Educational Leadership, particularly students with coursework or experience in data analytics, assessment, research, program evaluation, or data visualization

Experience with survey data, research, assessment, basic statistical analysis, higher education, career development, Qualtrics, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.

This position provides hands-on experience in data analysis, career readiness and outcomes assessment, program evaluation, survey research, data visualization, and higher education career programming. The Graduate Assistant will gain experience translating data into meaningful findings that can support program improvement and institutional decision-making.
