Personal Banker II
General FunctionSelected candidates will become a Retail Personal Banker II after completing a 4–8 week onboarding and education program. The program includes rotations in Operations and Sales & Service and concludes with a certification to demonstrate the skills necessary to perform the role.
Responsibilities- Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build a comprehensive customer profile and identify current and future financial needs.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of retail consumer and small business products and services and recommend appropriate solutions using the value proposition.
- Utilize CAMP and other approved marketing tools to proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for periodic financial reviews.
- Primarily focus on cross‑selling to the existing customer base and engage in outside sales activities such as Membership Advantage onsite presentations, business sales calls and community financial literacy events.
- Establish close working relationships with assigned business partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment) and refer customers when appropriate to provide holistic financial solutions.
- Consistently meet or exceed customer experience and production goals and enhance year‑over‑year revenue growth as measured by the Financial Center P&L.
- Provide guidance to CSRs regarding the sales and referral process.
- Promote customer satisfaction with a friendly, helpful demeanor and professionalism.
- Act with confidence, answer customer questions, and own customer issues.
- Maintain confidentiality of all business information.
- Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and all related policies.
- Adhere to established policies while opening and servicing the full range of retail products.
- Participate in the consumer loan and bankcard process, owning sourced loans from application through closing.
- Participate in the opening/closing process of the Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed by the Financial Center Manager.
- Keep up to date on retail procedures to mitigate fraud and unnecessary risk or exposure.
- College degree or equivalent work experience providing transferable skills.
- Experience in the financial industry preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to develop comfort with sales activities designed to acquire new consumers and small business customers, and/or cross‑sell to established customers.
- Ability to use advanced math functions for analysis of credit and financial information.
- Professional appearance and strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of retail policies and procedures to apply sound judgment.
- Position requires S.A.F.E. Act registration through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) at the time of employment.
Normal office environment with extended computer screen viewing. The program requires travel within the affiliate for training and scheduling flexibility. Travel outside of the affiliate will be required for various classroom training sessions.

Base salary: $43,680.00 – $69,900.00 USD annually.
