ESSENTIAL FUNTIONS :
Support the faculty, students, and department of the Hospitality Industry Administration program. Contribute to the mission of the college as a whole.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent;
Certificate or Associate’s Degree in Culinary/Baking & Pastry. Food Safety Manager’s License required. BASSET license preferred.
Experience: Two (2) years of work experience in the Hospitality industry; inventory, retail, or food service.
Skills:Computer proficiency, especially Outlook and MS Office. Willing to learn new technologies. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently; self-starter.
Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITES :
- 1. Maintain department laboratories, offices, and storage facilities, including cleaning, organizing, and restocking daily.
- 2. Inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and establishing & maintaining pars.
- 3. Identify and ameliorate safety concerns.
- 4. Clean and maintain professional food service equipment. Interface with internal and external maintenance services as required.
- 5. Maintain and prepare marketing materials, including departmental web pages.
- 6. Participate in various activities of the program, including recruitment events, community events, and supporting departmental retail outlets.
- 7. General administrative duties, e.g., answering phone calls, emails, filing, assisting with course scheduling, obtaining quotations for products and services, setting up meetings, taking minutes, etc.
- 8. Support student success through advising, registration, and connecting students with campus resources.
- 9. Other duties as assigned.
