Position Title

Adjunct Instructor (Adjunct Faculty)

Key Information
  • Rate of pay: $50.96 per hour.
  • Official transcripts required prior to employment (if applicable).
  • Recommended hire will be subject to pre-employment screenings.

Essential Function

The Adjunct Instructor will teach the Illinois Leasing Agent licensing program in a classroom or hybrid setting, delivering engaging, student-centered instruction aligned with the licensing objectives.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Managing Broker or supervising broker.
  • Knowledge of Illinois leasing practices and Fair Housing regulations.
  • Ability to teach adult learners in a classroom or hybrid format.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior teaching or training experience (Continuing Education or pre-licensing preferred).
  • Experience in residential leasing, property management, or brokerage operations.
  • Familiarity with IDFPR education requirements and licensing exam preparation.
  • Experience using instructional technology or online learning platforms.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction aligned with Illinois Leasing Agent licensing objectives.
  • Maintain current Illinois Real Estate license and stay up to date with leasing laws, fair housing regulations, and industry practices.
  • Teach course content covering leasing fundamentals, fair housing, agency relationships, contracts, property management basics, and Illinois real estate law.
  • Develop and distribute a course syllabus aligned with approved curriculum and state requirements.
  • Submit attendance, grade reports, and required documentation by established deadlines.
  • Guide students regarding the licensing process, exam preparation, and entry into the real estate field.
  • Utilize instructional technology and active learning strategies to support student success.
  • Maintain professional communication with students, program staff, and Continuing Education leadership.
  • Participate in curriculum updates and course assessment as needed.
  • Conduct classes as scheduled and comply with Triton College policies and procedures.
