Special Education Teacher - Early Childhood

K-2nd grade

JOB SUMMARY:

The teacher is responsible to the Director of Special Education for planning instructional lessons that meet the needs, interests and abilities of students with learning disabilities; creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and employing effective instructional techniques.

Qualifications:

* The candidate must hold an Professional Educator Licensure with:

* Learning Behavior Specialist endorsement

* Registered in region 07

* Bachelor's Degree

* Expertise in behavior management strategies

* Ability to write and implement IEP's

* Excellent communication skills

* Ability to work cooperatively with others

* Successful K - 2nd special education teaching experience preferred

* Demonstrated skill in diagnosing, prescribing, assessing student learning and appropriate record-keeping

Salary/Benefits

Salary Range: $47,208 - $69,530 per year. (Compensation is based on education level and years of experience, per the district salary schedule). We also offer Health, dental, and vision insurance. Retirement plan options, tuition reimbursement and professional development opportunities
