Facilities Maintenance Technician (Industrial)
A client of ours is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day operation of production equipment and facility systems. This role plays a key part in keeping machinery, utilities, and building infrastructure operating safely, reliably, and efficiently.
The position involves a mix of electrical and mechanical maintenance, equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, facility repairs, and general upkeep. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, responding to maintenance needs as they arise, and supporting both indoor and outdoor repairs as required.
Key Responsibilities- Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production equipment and electrical systems
- Inspect machinery and systems to ensure proper operation and performance
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and document completed work
- Diagnose equipment issues, assess repair needs, and complete corrective actions
- Support facility maintenance including basic carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, welding, painting, and masonry tasks
- Maintain building systems such as roofs, floors, walls, foundations, and mechanical components
- Assist with grounds upkeep and exterior maintenance when needed
- Respond to maintenance and safety-related requests promptly
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using electronic systems
- Keep work areas organized and return tools and materials at the end of each shift
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and company guidelines
- Experience performing electrical and mechanical maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing setting
- Broad technical skillset across maintenance disciplines
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
