Position Information

Reporting to the Recycling and Refuse Supervisor, the Laborer performs a variety of duties such as assembling, relocating, and dismantling furnishings, equipment, materials, temporary structures, and stages for special events or maintenance jobs. The position assists the UCR Transfer Station by emptying refuse and recycle bins, sweeping the area surrounding the bins, and removing litter. May assist other Facilities Services units with general housekeeping or tasks based on operational needs.

May work independently or as part of a team in assigned work areas. Performs all job duties in adherence to University and departmental safety guidelines. Maintains a positive attitude and communicates effectively with colleagues, supervisors, staff, faculty, and students.

The full salary range for the Laborer is $20.05 - $27.51 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.

*** Please note the realized minimum pay for this position will be $25 an hour.***
