* Job Summary:

** The Laundry Attendant is responsible for performing laundry functions in a friendly, courteous manner, in alignment with quality service standards, to create a safe, secure, and inviting environment for residents, families, and team members, while upholding MBK principles and core values.
*
* Duties & Responsibilities:

*** Follow work schedules and coordinate daily laundry services with housekeeping services when performing assignments in resident living areas.
* Collect, clean, and redistribute the community laundry and resident clothing.
* Follow approved laundry procedures to properly sort, wash, dry linens and resident clothing, and fold, count, and stack linens.
* Transport supplies to include clean and soiled linen to the appropriate storage and collection areas.
* Inspect linens routinely for wear and tears, identifying worn and torn linens and following the company’s standard operating procedure (SOP) for damaged linens.
* Maintain the commercial and residential laundry rooms in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition.
* Maintain communication with the Supervisor regarding the inventory of products and services to meet service standards.
* Ensure cleaning chemicals are kept stored and locked when not in use.
* Ensure cords, carts, equipment, and other hazards are kept out of the way, not blocking exits, and in compliance with fire codes.
* Always practice safety procedures, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
* Ensure equipment is properly maintained.
* Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests following established safety standards, policies, and procedures.
* Understand and comply with Federal, State, and local regulations, and company policies and procedures concerning the department.
* Promote and lead with a spirit of teamwork and open communication through consistent mentoring, coaching, and recognition program utilization, in alignment with MBK principles and core values.
