The Special Education Para educator provides direct support to students with disabilities in various educational settings, ensuring they have the necessary assistance to succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally. Working under the supervision of a certified special education teacher, the paraprofessional assists with classroom instruction, behavioral management, and individualized student needs.
This is a full time, 10 month, 180 day school year position, and will work with students in various educational settings. Applicants must hold or be eligible for a Paraprofessional license from the Illinois State Board of

Compensation InformationThe position starting salary is $19.10 per hour including fully paid individual health benefits. (Those with 3 years of experience as a para educator or who hold a Bachelors degree will have a starting salary of $20.10 per hour.)
