Job Summary:

Riverside School District 96 is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Physical Education Teacher for Central Elementary School. The successful candidate will plan and deliver an engaging standards-based physical education program that promotes lifelong fitness, health, wellness, sportsmanship, and social-emotional growth for elementary-aged students. The teacher will create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages all students to participate, develop motor skills, and build healthy habits.

The Physical Education Teacher collaborates with classroom teachers, administrators, support staff, and families to support student success and contribute to a positive school culture. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong classroom management skills, effective instructional practices, and a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of all learners.

Qualifications/

Skills:

• Education/Certification/License:
  Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) registered in Region 06 West Cook Physical Education Endorsement appropriate for the grade level served (K-5). Candidates holding a Physical Education endorsements such as K-9 or PK-12 are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of Illinois Learning Standards for Physical Development and Health
• Ability to effectively engage and motivate elementary students
• Strong communication, collaboration and organizational skills
