Job Description:
This position is responsible for performing general housekeeping tasks to maintain the facility and associated buildings in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition and to meet hospital and Joint Commission standards. On the weekends there will be responsibilities to maintain the Supervisor Phone to receive communications from House Supervisors & arrange Environmental Services assignments amongst the team.
Position Details
Lead Role - Maintains Supervisor Phone on the weekends to manage cleaning request assignments
Full Time, 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: Based on Experience ($17.68 - $22.99)
Availability Needed: Sunday-Saturday 6:30am-3pm
Days off: Tuesdays & Wednesdays

Essential Functions
Clean and disinfect assigned areas using department cleaning procedures.
Uses cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
Understands procedures and properly disposes of infectious waste and trash.
Handles and cleans up emergency spills per department guideline, Joint commission, and OSHA standards.
Follows all infection prevention practices (i.e. proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and process, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, as well as proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Maintains work and storage areas following established policy and procedures to ensure safety

Qualifications
One or more year of experience in custodial, housekeeping or janitorial work within a healthcare facility (preferred)
Demonstrated communication skills to include differentiating color-coded labels and/or chemicals as well as following written and/or verbal directions.
Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed to meet the needs of the department.
Demonstrated professional housekeeping experience. (Preferred)
Physical Requirements
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs
Frequent interactions with customers require employee to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typical includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
