Position: The JOY FM Facilities Support

Description

All duties of the Facilities Support team member require a faithful commitment to the Christian faith, particularly where he/she is interacting with the listeners and staff. The Facilities Support team member is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep and cleanliness of the facility. This includes, but is not limited to: maintaining supplies, maintaining a safe and clean work environment, and assisting the Director of Facilities as needed.

Aligning with our core values, this position is key in maintaining a level of excellence in both cleanliness, safety, and helping with preventative maintenance, identifying possible concerns before they become larger issues. Work may include both interior and exterior tasks. Must be a dedicated, focused, and task-oriented individual who is a self-starter when it comes to performing your work with excellence.

The goal of this position is to help create a comfortable, safe, and clean environment for all those coming to our “home.” This position reports directly to our Director of Facilities.

  • Set up and break down furniture and trash receptacles for meetings and events.
  • Wash windows, mirrors, walls, and glass surfaces.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks such as: vacuuming all carpeted areas, dusting, sweeping and mopping hard surface flooring, replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, etc.
  • Empty trash and recycle bins, disposing waste in the appropriate dumpster.
  • Clean and sanitize all restrooms daily, replenishing supplies (soap, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.).
  • Wash, dry, fold, and store all laundered items such as linens, napkins, dish towels, etc.
  • Coordinate with our Director of Facilities on inventory management of cleaning supplies giving proper allowance of notice on restocking of items.
  • Water and care for interior foliage throughout the office complex.
  • Assist with special outdoor projects and care as needed.
  • Assist with seasonal items, such as decorating the facility for holidays.
  • Follow safety precautions and protocols, using protective equipment as required.
  • Assist in securing the building at the end of each work day.
Qualifications
  • Engaging personality who exemplifies servant-leadership characteristics.
  • Proven experience cleaning and maintaining a large-scale facility.
  • Have an basic knowledge and use of MS Office products such as Word and Excel and email.
  • Ability to life 50 lbs. or more on occasion, not afraid of heights, able to walk or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to respond locally to emergency situations quickly and effectively.
  • Exudes a tremendous level of integrity.
