Primary Job Role

Conduct all assigned work safely, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures and regulations. Wear proper personal protective equipment and comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules.

Approach work positively, maintain a conduct supportive of teamwork, contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations.

Train and mentor others in the department.

Perform testing, commissioning, and maintenance of low and medium voltage electrical equipment, including transformers, switch gear, power cables, circuit breakers, and grounding systems.

Conduct diagnostics and troubleshoot complex electrical systems in low and medium voltage substations to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Attend and successfully complete required technician training classes; maintain awareness of applicable technical changes in the industry.

Develop and track project-specific documentation, including test reports, equipment data sheets, and compliance records.

Work in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways of improving work methods, work area, and safety standards.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Formal

Education:

High School diploma or GED.

Experience:

7 or more years.

• Proficient in the use of a computer, and Microsoft Office products.
• NETA 3
• NICET
• Flir Level 1
• Working knowledge with various switch gear testing software.

Updating of Knowledge:
