Responsibilities

  • Conducts all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations, and wearing proper personal protective equipment.
  • Acts as the immediate supervisor, assigning and supervising shop technicians, setting standards, and assisting the Foreman in training, testing, and evaluations.
  • Responsible for scheduling, supervising, and developing shop technicians; ensures technicians are aware of safety requirements and job assignments before shift start.
  • Reviews service reports for accuracy upon job completion.
  • Establishes procedures for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and ensuring repair processes are followed.
  • Assists shop technicians in diagnosing difficult problems.
  • Schedules and conducts bi‑monthly toolbox safety meetings, documenting attendance.
  • Coordinates service workflow and job assignments; maintains high repair quality to prevent faulty work leaving the shop.
  • Communicates effectively with technicians and notifies the Foreman or supervisor of additional repairs not included in the estimate or work order.
  • Ensures all open work orders are reviewed daily and none remain open for more than three days without a justifiable reason.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 3‑4 years of related experience.

  • Completed all required training curriculum to be designated a Service Lead person.
  • Moderate level capability in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products, and relevant Dealer software programs.

Work Schedule
  • Regular business hours with frequent requirements to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
Physical Demands
  • Occasionally – up to 3 hours/day.
