Shop Service Technician III - CAT Rentals

Responsibilities

• Conduct all assigned work safely, adhering to safety, environmental, and contamination control policies and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Maintain a minimum set of tools required for diagnosis, disassembly, and assembly of components to manufacturer’s specifications.
• Attend and successfully complete required technician training classes.
• Diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company‑owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Work in a neat and orderly fashion, continuously looking for ways to improve work methods, work area, and safety standards.
• Research repair needs and order parts as required; complete required documentation using appropriate software.
• Approach work positively and maintain conduct supportive of the team; accomplish tasks on time while meeting safety and quality expectations.
• Assist with maintaining proper facility appearance and shop conditions, following contamination control guidelines, housekeeping, and general maintenance duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

High School diploma or GED; 1‑2 years of related experience; completion of all required training curriculum to be designated Tech III.

• Atmospheric conditions – fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation affecting respiratory system or skin.
• Oils – exposure to oils and cutting fluids.
• Air particulates / contaminants – respirator required.
