Building Maintenance Tech

Overview

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a Guest Service Tech to perform general maintenance tasks and handle maintenance requests submitted by guests and employees. This role involves completing work order tasks, preventative maintenance, and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient work environment at Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center (Benchmark Hospitality).

Basic Function: The Guest Service Tech will complete general maintenance requests submitted by guests and employees. Responsibilities also include performing various work order tasks and preventative maintenance on spaces and equipment.

• Availability: 1st & 2nd shift
• Pay rate: $20 per hour
• Location: Benchmark Hospitality at Deloitte University

• Completes maintenance requests submitted by guests or employees for general maintenance issues within the hotel. Common requests include toilet issues, sink drains, hot water issues, touch up paint, light bulb replacement, and more.
• Interacts with guests or employees to ensure maintenance requests are completed successfully.
• Performs preventative maintenance and maintains logs in an organized manner.
• Identifies problems, initiates work orders, completes assigned work orders, and performs necessary repairs within their area of expertise.
• Performs duty rounds using daily checklists; reports on and corrects noted problems.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and efficient workspace; responsible for inventory of tools in use.
• Works in a safe manner including proper use of PPE and following safety protocols.
• Responsible for correct use of maintenance request system; training provided.
• Assists with maintenance requests for other trades, as needed.

• One year experience in maintenance required (hotels, home repair, hospitals, office repair, or apartment complex repairs).
• Skilled with using hand, power, and diagnostic tools.
• Experience in the following areas: minor wallpaper and vinyl repair; repair and paint drywall, wood, metal, and other surfaces using rollers and brushes; repair tile and grout; refinishing woodwork requiring staining, varnishing, and lacquering; basic plumbing repairs; basic electrical repairs.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics preferred.
• Must be able to communicate both written and verbally in English due to guest contact.
• Texas Driver’s License with good driving record preferred.

$20 per hour
