The (USA) Technician, General Facilities Maintenance is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facility equipment and fixtures. This role involves diagnosing issues using technical resources, executing repairs across multiple trades including electrical and plumbing, managing maintenance schedules, and coordinating with contractors. The technician ensures compliance with regulatory standards and company policies while supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to document and communicate maintenance activities effectively are essential to maintaining operational excellence and supporting business needs.
The Facilities Maintenance team ensures the safety, functionality, and appearance of stores by performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics across electrical, plumbing, and general facility systems. Team members manage maintenance schedules, coordinate with contractors, and adhere to safety standards. They apply a range of technical skills using hand and power tools to maintain equipment reliability. The team emphasizes collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement to support store operations and deliver quality results.

- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities, equipment, and fixtures following established schedules and guidelines.
- Inspect, clean, and repair facilities equipment, documenting wear, repair needs, and replacement requirements.
- Conduct major and minor repairs using multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, utilizing hand and power tools.
- Diagnose equipment issues through inspection, testing, and use of blueprints and manuals, providing prompt response to emergency calls.
- Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts ordering, and contractor compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement by applying expertise, monitoring progress, and adapting to organizational changes.
- Proven experience in preventive maintenance and facility repair to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Proficiency in electrical diagnostics, plumbing systems, and use of hand and power tools for repairs.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
- Strong organizational skills to manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor coordination.
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations to ensure compliance and quality standards.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to build partnerships and support business needs.
