Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
HPC-Industrial powered by Clean Harbors in Robinson, IL is looking for Overnight Centrifuge Operators to join their safety conscious team! This position operates a variety of mechanical and manual servicing equipment for industrial services, waste management, and tank cleaning. With HPC established methods, policies, practices and procedures and applicable regulations. No experience required, we will train!

- Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times;
- Completes daily checklist as required for proper operation of the unit being operated.
- Hands‑on experience on operations of Decanter centrifuges, belt presses, filter press and ancillary equipment (pumps, conveyors, etc.).
- Operation of special equipment, such as centrifugal and positive displacement pumps.
- Operate 5K hotsy pressure washers.
- Assures unit is never operated in an unsafe manner or in a manner which is inconsistent with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Completes and submits all associated paperwork as required for waste tracking movements.
- Assures that all containers are properly secured, i.e. chock blocks, jack stands.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the company.
- Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on‑the‑job training and essential experience gained on other jobs.
- Language proficiency: understand English at a level to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations.
- Valid driver license and other requirements of company's driving policy required when driving company vehicle or using personal vehicle on company business.
- Must be knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers.
- Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) required, or must be able to obtain.
- Overnight shift Monday - Thursday, 12 hours, 48 + hours weekly.
- Must be available to work Fridays and weekends as needed.
- Ability to work in team environment.
- Lift 50 lbs.
