Field Services Engineer

Requirements

• Experience with FANUC robot troubleshooting as a technician or in school.
• Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic prints and related technical documentation.
• Ability to work safely and effectively within OSHA Laws.
• Able to work at customer sites with little direct supervision.
• Comfortable with heavy travel, overtime work, and 2nd and 3rd shift when needed on assignments.

• Ability to read and interpret PLC ladder logic a plus.
• Associate’s Degree in an Applied Science or equivalent technical education preferred.

• A leading supplier of automation for manufacturing is looking for an eager Associate Service Engineer to do preventative maintenance on robots at customer sites.
• Troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of robots and controllers, electrical control devices, and peripheral equipment.
• Provide telephone‑based troubleshooting through the Hotline to support customers in resolving related peripheral equipment operational problems.
• Documenting products and related peripheral equipment performance and failure modes.
• Daily reporting to Service Management to update status & availability.
• Completion of a Service Report for each customer call.
• Maintenance of a service toolkit to facilitate rapid customer response.
• Return of parts shipped for the service call but not purchased by the customer or defective parts replaced under warranty.
