Position

Summary

To assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness of campus buildings. Flexible shifts available between 6:00 pm and 11:00 pm, Monday-Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply various methods of cleaning to campus buildings (i.e. sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc.)
  • Clean offices, restrooms, and all other general areas
  • Maintain a safe work environment through proper use of equipment, chemicals, and lifting
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned

    Prompt, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting responsibilities.
  • Background Check:
    Must pass background check as a condition of employment.
Work Environment

The work environment involves working for a suburban, Christian university or Christian owned and operated radio station alongside those with a demonstrated commitment and personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a commitment to the mission and values of Northwestern, and an agreement to abide by all Northwestern policies.

  • Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties in a typical office setting.

  • Ability to read, write, and understand instructions and technical information.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.; stoop, kneel, crouch, and handle materials frequently.
  • Ability to work inside, with mechanical/electrical equipment and with moving objects frequently.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, and hazardous materials constantly.
  • Work may include tasks at heights in confined spaces or on uneven, wet, or slippery surfaces with potential for slips, trips, or falls occasionally.
