Position Overview
Rochester Golf & Country Club is seeking a Head Equipment Manager who prioritizes safety, employee well‑being, and operational excellence. The Head Equipment Manager reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent and is responsible for overseeing a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for the club’s equipment fleet. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing equipment issues, maintaining accurate service and labor records, managing parts inventory, and ordering necessary supplies and materials. The position also plays an active role in long‑term capital equipment planning through a structured equipment life‑cycle program.

Approximately 19,000 (April–November)
Annual Grounds Budget: $1.1 million

Key Responsibilities- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized equipment maintenance facility.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in excellent operating condition.
- Perform daily field inspections to verify equipment performance and quality of cut.
- Execute and oversee preventive maintenance schedules and service programs.
- Manage equipment repair expenses and preventive maintenance programs within budget.
- Maintain accurate service records, parts inventory, and maintenance logs.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding parts sourcing, pricing, and purchasing.
- Manage oil, lubricant, and fluid inventories.
- Assist the Golf Course Superintendent with equipment research, evaluation, and capital purchasing recommendations.
- Train and support staff on safe equipment operation, cleaning procedures, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Collaborate with the grounds department to support exceptional turf conditions and playing surfaces.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Prior turf equipment maintenance experience preferred.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic, honesty, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent organizational and record‑keeping skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
Salary: $70,000–$80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications
