About the Role

The Automation Engineer Apprenticeship program offers an extensive paid training in the Technical Engineering field. Participants seeking an exciting career as an Automation Engineer gain valuable skills through a combination of 12 weeks of classroom instruction and on‑job learning that prepares them to join our account for a world‑class leader.

What You’ll Do
  • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
  • Solve electrical and mechanical automation issues related to all material handling equipment, including PLCs, motors, photo‑eyes, industrial communications, and more.
  • Troubleshoot and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.
  • Cultivate positive working relationships with our Client and Operations Maintenance team members.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as needed or assigned.
What You’ll Need
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Two years of experience working in a maintenance support role.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Ability to attend a 12‑week in‑person paid training at a designated training provider.
  • Proficiency using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). Programming experience a plus.
  • Ability to solve problems and carry out general instructions in standard situations such as routine maintenance, repairs, preventative measures, emergency responses, coordination, and safety compliance.
  • Ability to move up to 50 lbs and physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs/ladders with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
  • Experience using powered or non‑powered hand tools.

Compensation

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $59,529.60 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $66,144 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
