SEIU Environmental Svcs Worker

University of Rochester - 601 Elmwood Avenue - Responsibilities:
Performs general heavy and light cleaning and housekeeping services in University buildings such as residence halls, hospital, administration/academic buildings, etc.;
Operates a variety of light or heavy duty housekeeping and floor maintenance machines and equipment to strip, wax and buff floors; wet and dry mops, dusters, etc.;
Performs cleaning and disinfecting procedures by fogging rooms and washing floors, walls, furniture and fixtures with germicidal detergents.;
Cleans walls, ceilings and stairs; cleans overhead equipment; vacuums, dusts, waxes furniture; distributes linen; washes windows; empties wastebaskets; moves equipment; shovels snow; maintains storage closet.;
Maintains cleanliness of work storage closet and equipment; performs other duties requiring comparable skill and responsibility as assigned.
