Role OverviewThe Level II Mechanic independently performs general building and grounds upkeep while maintaining production and manufacturing equipment. As part of a team, this role helps maintain building security and optimum facility performance.
Key Responsibilities- General Facilities: light carpentry, electrical, pipe fitting, plumbing, and snow removal.
- HVAC & Equipment: preventive maintenance and minor repairs on HVAC systems, boilers, and air compressors.
- Machinery Maintenance: cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting production machines/CNC equipment; maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Safety: strictly adhere to all safety and PPE protocols on and off the production floor.
- Education:
high school diploma or equivalent. - Experience:
5–8 years of general building maintenance with a strong mechanical background. - Preferred Background: CNC preventive maintenance, boilers, air compressors, hydraulics, and motor rebuilding.
- Certifications/Equipment: experience operating scissor lifts, boom lifts, and various forklifts.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs independently.
- Able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours a day, climb ladders, and crawl under machines.
- Requires excellent hand dexterity for use of multiple hand tools.
- Strict adherence to wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
